New Orleans born trumpetter Antonio Gambrell was a student of pianist Ellis Marsalis, father of the world famous jazz musicians Wynton and Branford. Gambrell is a versatile musician who blends in easilly with R&B, jazz, funk, blues. He co-founded the hip hop rock band Cronk and performed and recorded with a huge amount of musicians like latin pop singer Fredy Omar, drummer Jason Marsalis, saxophonist Jimmy Carpenter and blues icon, singer and guitarist Walter ‘Wolfman’ Washington.
